Choosing wall and edge trimmers

Make room under the toe kick

A folding handle changes hand clearance beneath cabinets. The wall runner and blade position still have to match the surface and carpet thickness. Check both dimensions before setting up the cut.

Choose the blade and guide for the material

Some wall trimmers use slotted blades. The ROBERTS 10-905 uses a hook blade and a guide boot for sheet goods. A shim-adjusted trimmer lets you set cutting height independently of the throat where the carpet feeds.
